Year 5 message travels to the moon!

Year 5 children are literally 'over the Moon' after their message to the Orion space capsule was played as it orbited the Moon. Artemis 1 launched in November and released the Orion capsule which orbited the Moon and splash back down to Earth in December. This was while Year 5 were learning about the Solar System as part of their Science topic. A world-wide opportunity opened up to send messages to be displayed on the Orion control panel as it made its Orbit. At nearly 235,000 miles from Earth, Year 5 had their message displayed which told of how much they are inspired with the space topic and that they wanted everyone to take care of our planet.

Certainly the furthest we have ever sent an email!
