U11 Girls' Football
On Thursday the U11 girls kicked off their season with a league match against Greenmount. The girls started really well, and before long Kimi had slotted the ball past the goalkeeper. Continuing to put pressure on the Greenmount defence, Kimi got another chance after a long through ball came to her right in front of goal. It was 2-0 at half time, and more opportunities fell The Bay’s way as they started the second half, with Caitlin narrowly missing and Neve having two shots saved.
The goals then started to come with Lottie sliding the ball into the bottom corner, soon followed by a lovely finish from Neve after a fantastic switch pass from Florence. Lottie scored a second after being determined to get the ball back off the Greenmount defence. Neve then scored twice more to complete her hat trick. With the match finishing 7-0, it was a great start for the girls, and leads them nicely to their cup competition next week. Well done girls!
