U11 Girls Cricket
The U11 girls cricket team played their quarter final against Binstead on Tuesday. The Bay batted first, and despite not hitting any boundaries the team made some good runs, and only got out once, so didn’t lose many points. The girls fielding and bowling was very strong, with each bowler keeping the ‘no balls’ to a minimum. Millie and Sienna both managed to bowl out Binstead players. The team were also very alert when fielding, with Abigail’s quick reactions managing to stump out whilst the opposition were running, and Lilly’s lucky catch with the penultimate ball. Binstead also hit their own stumps a couple of times. Binstead had some strong hits to the boundary, but the number of ‘outs’ left them on 35 runs, and The Bay finished on 46 runs. The Bay wait to see who they will play in the semi-final!
