U11 Cricket Semi Final v Carisbrooke
On Thursday, the U11 girls came up against a strong Carisbrooke team in their cricket semi final. The girls batted first, and within the first over Millie had hit the boundary to 4 runs. The girls worked well in their pairs to get many runs. Betsy & Neve had brilliant communication when running, and Neve hit the boundary for 4 runs late on in the innings.
The Bay stepped up to the field, and it was brilliant to see such great bowling. The Bay gave away limited ‘no balls’, and Abigail’s quick reactions allowed her to stump Carisbrooke when they were running. Carisbrooke were extremely good at hitting the boundary, and in the end they won the match, but The Bay gave a determined performance, showcasing the hard work they had all put in this year. We look forward to our current year 4 & 5 girls bringing this year's experience into next year!
