Up first was a semi final against Broadlea. Even with some strong bowling from our players, a steady batting performance from our opponents set us a challenging target to chase. Our boys focussed hard, scored well and just managed to pull away with some crucial boundaries right at the end of the innings to progress through the island final.

We faced a strong Carisbrooke team who won the toss and elected to bowl first. After a slow start, we were able to score runs at the end of our innings to give ourselves a chance. We bowled and fielded extremely well but some powerful batting from our opponents enabled them to chase down our target for victory.

Well done boys - you’ve been excellent this year and should be so proud of yourselves after reaching both island finals!
