Quad Kids

On Wednesday, some of the Year 5 & 6s got to take part in a Quad Kids athletics competition at Greenmount. All of the athletes took part in all four events; 600m, long jump, 60m sprint, and the vortex throw. The team were enthusiastic going into all of the events, and each child gave their all coming back with some very good results. Harley had a win in the 60m sprint, and the 600m in his group. Within her group Abi came 1st in the 60m sprint and 2nd in the 600m. Good results for Betsy and Scarlett in the 600m, and Caleb and Kacper really showed their skills in the Vortex throw. Lilly and Harry worked brilliantly together in all events, especially the Long Jump. 

Throughout the afternoon, The Bay displayed brilliant team spirit and encouragement from the sidelines, there was even some running alongside their teammates for support.

Harley’s performance saw him take home 2nd place individually. All of the children’s individual performances were brought together for one overall team score, so every throw, jump, and run counted. Working together as a team, The Bay came 3rd.
