PEACH Games
On Friday, children from Year 4 got the chance to attend the PEACH Games, over in West Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity for young children to experience and taster new sports and activities, as well as engage in the familiar sports they are used to in PE lessons.
In the morning, The Bay got the chance to try some team sports, like Handball, Cricket, Tag Rugby. They got to practice their shooting in Handball, some batting in Cricket, and backward passing in Tag Rugby.
In the afternoon, the children tried their skills with different sports. They all enjoyed the Archery, and New Age Kurling, and they got to play a couple of rounds of Boccia. Across the day all children showed the School Games Values in each activity.
During the day, they even got to spend time with Wight Event First Aid & training who showed them how to correctly perform CPR, and even showed them how to use a defibrillator. The children were fully engaged and all said it was one of the best parts of the day!
