A mixed team of Yr 7’s, 8’s and 9’s travelled over to play Ryde School u13’s today in a brilliant match that went to the last over!

Captain Samuel B won the toss and elected to bat. Ollie M and Michael M opened the batting and after losing Michael M LBW early, we managed to put on a very decent score in the first half of our innings. Samuel B retiring on 38 and Ollie caught for 21. Wickets then tumbled for The Bay after some great bowling from Ryde’s opening bowlers 2nd spell. We reached a very respectable 126. Ryde batted well in reply and were always going to take it close to the wire. In the last over of the game Ryde required 16 runs to win. Samuel B managed to hold his nerve with the ball to bring victory for The Bay by 8 runs. A great game. Tomorrow we have a much sterner test as we head back over to Ryde School to play their u14 team.
